With their irrelevant and funny dance, they attract a large crowd’s attention, and a huge number of people watch them with a shocked expression. Even camera angles are not adjusted and independent during the video. There is no adjusted lighting, no costumes, no concept. It can be called as freestyle with a sarcastic approach. It is unexpected that a group of people do acrobatic motions they jump, turn, and do something strange and not much to do with the lyrics and the rhythm of the music. There is a huge contrast between the place and the performance of the dancers, and it makes me laugh even more, because it is obvious that they choose that place on purpose. It has been recorded in the Regency Buin Theatre, which is a movie theater. Only the scene of sleeping woman is really moving in the film, and it is climax of the movie as we can understand thanks to sound that becomes louder. The same places or situations are shown a few times from different angles and different gestures. In addition, repetitions attract my attention most. Techniques are similar as the traditional film techniques and it is not a deficiency, so it shows that La jetée achieves its goal. Zoom in & zoom out and dissolves are seen during the film. There are other various editing techniques which help to the process and strength the film. Fade ins and fade outs helps audience to understand that time passes. There were straight cuts showing different aspects of something with camera angles. It has a similar idea with comic books acts are shown moment to moment. It was effective and strong enough with the still images. When I watch it, I do not need to watch it as a video. Maybe voice over was not a mandatory need, but it is undeniable that it strengths the story. There is an illusion of motions with the usage of sound, like voice overs or music. Souls come to life in another body and it continues until spiritual growth is complete. So, there is a religious or philosophical belief behind the story. Even it does not be told throughout the film clearly, I believe that they successfully reflect the reincarnation. After he gains his awareness, he gets a chance to live his second life -or maybe more than second, who knows □- and he completes the cycle. He both contributes to his own life and 22’s future life. It would be correct to say that he is in purgatory at this point. He is neither going to heaven nor to the world without facing them. Uncertainties about his life disappear, he confronts them one by one. He does not know about his life and his desires and he comes here as a teacher and actually gets to know himself. In a deeper interpretation, Joe neither goes heaven nor hell, so the place he accidentally fell while try to escape death is seems like purgatory. It’s suspenseful, gripping and - more than any other film this year - poignant.I think that Disney has a deep insight and knowledge of the afterlife. Essentially two movies, its first half serves as a great depiction of how love and family can help humans persevere in the worst situations imaginable, while the second focuses on the burden society places on individuals to be normal and how it reacts to mental health and what is considered normal. And, with the appeal its leading actor Leonardo DiCaprio has, and the broad and epic scope of its plot, not to mention its fancy look, it’s hard to envision it not emerging the victor of the night’s most unpredictable category. The best movie this year, though, was hands down Room. However, the bigger trend is that the Oscar winner for Best Director usually predicts what will win Best Picture, and the directors of "Spotlight" and "The Big Short" don’t have a shot at winning that category. "Spotlight" also has a chance after winning the Screen Actors Guild Award, which has predicted six of the past 10 winners. Why: History would indicate "The Big Short" as the frontrunner - it took home the Producers Guild Award, which has predicted eight of the past 10 Best Picture winners.
